Below are a selection of some of my favorite ACEOs/ATCs.
I make too many to keep a running inventory here, but here’s how you can get your hands on some tiny original art:
BUY: via eBay or TinyGallery.
FIND: In Geocaches, trinket swaps, or other hiding spots, (primarily) in the Portland area, which I post about on social media.
TRADE: click here for the details.
Artist Trading Cards (ATCs), or Art Card Editions and Originals (ACEOs) are 2.5”x3.5” (64x89mm) original, 2D art works. As the name suggests, they are the same size as baseball, Pokemon, Magic The Gathering, etc. cards. Many are drawings and paintings, but they can be made in any medium: collages, prints, fiber arts, and even delicate ceramic cards.
The distinction is made for the community/marketplace side of things: ATCs are traded (and have a longer art historical context) whereas ACEOs can be purchased and started as an eBay phenomenon.
Trade? Trade! Here’s the deal:
We’ll agree on a quantity to trade, one for one. The card/s sent from me will be surprises.
YOUR card/s should follow the correct format: 2.5”x3.5”, flat, any medium.
You need to be able to send and receive mail — just a basic USPS stamp will do for 1-2 cards!
That’s it! Open to ALL artists, young/old/”incapable of stick figure”, etc.
Send me an email if you’d like to set something up! I’m open to trading with classes and other groups, too.
